Is there a class action lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase that we could join?

Let me give you a little history about our request for help in having our loan modified. Vicky and I have been requesting a modification from Chase since March 2009. That time period is when Vicky and I were both unemployed for the first time (Vicky was unemployed only 1 month in 2003) in our lives. Up until that time we had never missed a mortgage payment, in fact in 2003 we acquired a 15year mortgage to have the house paid off by the time I retired. With this in mind in March 2009 our loan was not delinquent and payments were up to date when we asked for a modification. Chase told us they would not accept partial payments. We thought this process would take (30) days or less to help us stay current with our payments. At this time our loan amount was $147,000. Our original loan in 2003 was 214,000. Five years later with countless request from Chase’s employees needing more information that they said they didn’t have or misplaced, even though we sent a packets (all together) but only partial information was received! We had sent (14) modification packets between 2009 and 2012 and (3) packets in 2013 and 2014. Totaling 17 packets. Which our loan has escalated to $218.000

Worked on a mortgage modification for 13 months. Like others, request, request for information that had been provided earlier. We too were told not to pay the package was sent to underwriter. Then boom we were denied and they asked us to start the process all over.
I hear the same old story. Filed a BBB report and they didn’t respond. I now have my account current and have asked that they restore my credit. THEY REFUSE. They are a bank that keeps on giving. Bad giving. Worst company ever

I have the same thing happening to me right now.
My credit is ruined and I cannot get a job as a result because as a Banker you have to have good credit. I asked them to fix it and they refused.
I would love to join a lawsuit.

Me too with a few exceptions…After 7 months since applying, I finally was granted a modification. Chase presented the modification using HAMP language and the U.S. Treasury Department’s seal, so a reasonable conclusion was it was a HAMP. Now 6 years later, I am entitled to the incentives provided by HAMP (federal program) which is a 10K reduction of principal plus recasting the balance for the life of the loan. The mortgage servicer/collection agency says Chase did an “in-house” modification and as such, I don’t qualify for any of it. I KNOW the investors don’t want the reduction because in the long term, they lose money. GREEDY BASTURDS! I have filed a complaint with SIGTARP since the funds given to the Banks were federal funds to be used to help homeowners. Clearly, Chase used those funds to help themselves. Waiting to hear back from SIGTARP to see if they broke any laws and if I have any recourse. I’m not holding my breath. Banksters every one of them.
