Ex customers

We received this great not from a reader:

I just wanted to say that your website and the Move Your Money Project really got the ball rolling for my husband and I. We were only with Chase for a few months when it became apparent that we weren’t fans. They even managed to close our savings without us knowing.
We are in the process of moving everything and we’ve opened an account at a local credit union.
I hope more and more people are realizing the rip-off that Chase is.
Keep up the good work.

It’s not too late to become an ex-customer of Chase!

After hearing that chase would start charging me $10 a month for my checking out I decided to go in and threaten them with closing my account. I THOUGHT they would of done anything to keep me, including waiving the $10 fee, but NOPE. I can’t get direct deposit from my job, and even if I did, my checks are always under $500, so I still wouldn’t qualify. In the end, I told the manager the only way I would keep my account open was by them not charging me and she said it wasn’t possible, so I asked to close my account immediately. She did, I walked out and I don’t regret it. It felt GREAT standing up to that bully Chase. I can’t believe these banks are making millions off us using their debit cards and now they wana charge us for us making them money.
