Chase online bill-pay broken?

A customer reported that the online bill-pay feature at has not been working since the aesthetic upgrade they performed the previous weekend.

This past weekend (11-13-11) Chase implemented a new look for their online banking.  Starting on Monday morning the bill pay service has not been working.  It is now Wednesday and we have had no bill payment service for three days!

We’re having the same problem with our business account! I contacted the manager at our local branch, and the support people for told him everything was working. BS!

Just got off of phone with support. They say this is a “known issue” and they expect online bill payment to be functional again on the 18th. So, down for a minimum of four business days. Ridiculous!

The worst part is that I am depending on the billpay feature, and there has been no notification that it is down. The error message is nonsensical and gives no helpful information.

Haven’t been able to bill-pay for two days. No message given why. Called Chase and they said this was due to improving my experience. I asked it they would pay my late fees for not being able to pay my bills. They said they’d be happy for me to use my Chase Visa to pay my bills. I don’t bloody want to use Chase cc because I’m trying to get rid of the evil card. This bank does not care the least about their average customers. Why should they…. they will have plenty of money from the bailout and the 1%. Getting my money out asap.

I travel weekly for work, so I’m dependent upon Chase Bill Pay. Last week before the outage, I scheduled bills to pay. Then they had their nearly 3 day outage.
Oddly enough, my bills that were scheduled to pay never showed on my account. So, I tried resending them. They posted and then they were reversed. I tried sending them again. The billpay service wouldn’t accept them.
I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Chase. The person on the phone said he didn’t know why this was happening but that they had been experiencing issues with the upgrade. He couldn’t tell me if or when the bills would be paid.
Unbelievable. Three days of outage and a week later, you can’t tell customers when their bills will be paid?

They just made a change (03/19/13). They back tracked big time. Terrible technology.
